The thermal camera measures surface temperature. A finding is a well founded indication of a cause that a specialist should confirm on site. Measurements are only possible from November to March with a temperature difference of about 15 K, in dry conditions, without fog and with little wind. Not included are an energy performance certificate, calculation of heat loss or insulation values, interior images, building damage expertise and structural assessment. Ventilated facades, glass and metal surfaces can only be assessed to a limited extent from outside.
- Residential blocks, halls, schools, public buildings
- Several buildings in one morning
- Annual comparison with the same method
Heating costs are rising and renovation budgets are limited. Before you renovate a roof or facade, it pays to see where the building actually loses heat. By drone we capture roof surfaces, facades and upper floors of large buildings in one pass, even where there is no view from the ground.
What the thermal image shows
- thermal bridges at roof edges, parapets and balcony slabs
- leaking junctions at windows, gates and roller shutter boxes
- areas with missing, damaged or displaced insulation
- conspicuous spots on flat roofs and skylights
Annual comparison instead of a single snapshot
A single thermal image shows the condition on one morning. If the inspection is repeated every year, method, flight positions and numbering of findings stay the same. You see whether a spot becomes more conspicuous, whether a renovation has worked and where action is needed next. Because the measurement conditions are documented every time, it is possible to judge whether a difference comes from the building or from the weather. For property managers and municipalities this is a traceable basis for maintenance and budget planning.
Several buildings in one visit
If you manage several buildings, it is best to have them inspected on the same morning. This saves travel, and all reports are produced under the same conditions.
What you receive
- PDF report per building with a thermal and a visual image for each finding
- location of each finding on the building
- documented measurement conditions: time, outside temperature, inside temperature as stated by you, wind and cloud cover
- an overview of all buildings if several are inspected
Indicative prices, net
- from € 350 per building, depending on size and number of facades
- several buildings on the same morning: day rate by agreement
- annual repetition: quotation based on your list of buildings
All prices plus VAT. For single family houses there is the separate service Building heat loss.
