Nobody can guarantee that every animal will be found. Tall grass, warm nights, sun on the ground and wind reduce the chance of finding animals, for ground nesting birds it is lower than for fawns. We coordinate the flight in advance with the landowner and, where required, with the person entitled to hunt. In controlled airspace a flight is only possible with clearance. We cannot promise legal protection under animal welfare law.
- Fawn rescue before mowing
- Search for missing animals
- Wildlife counts on request
In their first weeks of life, fawns crouch in tall grass and do not flee from the mower. They cannot be seen from the tractor. From the air, the thermal camera shows a fawn as a warm spot in the grass, as long as the ground is still cool in the early morning.

How a fawn rescue works
- You tell us the meadows and the planned mowing date, ideally a few days in advance
- We fly over the fields on the morning of mowing or the day before, usually from sunrise
- We show the fawns we find to the helpers on site, who bring them to safety following the hunters’ guidelines
- You receive a short record with field, date and locations of finds
Search for missing animals
We search for runaway dogs, cats or grazing animals from the air, ideally at night or early in the morning when the animal stands out clearly from the ground. Near airports every flight needs clearance from Austro Control, which can delay the search.
Wildlife counts
On request we count game in hunting grounds or on fields and record the result with thermal image and date, as a basis for hunting and nature conservation.
Your benefits
- Meadows searched before mowing, before the mower arrives
- Animals found are reported directly to the helpers on site
- Search for missing animals even in difficult terrain
- Short record with field, date and locations of finds
